Flexible Formats...
Camps or clinics are up into half day sessions. They can run year round in a variety of formats, in any number of sessions.
- Weekend (3-5 sessions all in one weekend)
- Multiple Day Camps (1 or 2 sessions per day for multiple days)
- Multiple Camps / Day (each age group only 1 session /day... up to 3 camps / day)
- Evening Camps (ex: 5-9pm, 3 or 4 days)
Player Costs...
We use a formula to determine the per person cost of a camp. It starts with a $20 base cost (for Player Notebook and T-Shirts)... and then a per session cost (a session is a half day) that decreases a bit depending on the number of sessions (from $45 down to $35). To get a good estimate of what your camp might cost... figure $40 per session.
Example: The per player cost for a 5 session camp (2 1/2 days) = $20 base cost, plus $40 per session x 5 sessions... so ~ $220 per player.
Sharing Revenues and ResponsibilitiesAfter a $20 materials cost per player (Camp Notebook and T-Shirt)... we share the revenues 50 / 50.
We... cover any travel costs that we may have in getting to you... no matter where you are. We also cover any hotel costs of our stay if you are not able to find a host. We generate and bring all camp materials (Notebooks, T-Shirts). We conduct the camp.
You... take care of getting us the space (minimum 6 baskets and 1 classroom)... and any costs that may be associated with that (often these are able to be done at no or minimal cost due to local contacts the coach or community organizer has).
You provide an assistant coach per 15 players (ex: 1 for the first 15, which of course can be you or someone you choose... then another when we get to 30, 45, etc). If or how much you choose to pay these additional coaches is up to you. They can contribute their time as part of the program fund raiser... or be compensated at whatever level you feel they should be out of your portion of the revenues.
Use your revenues as Coach Supplement or Program Fund Raiser
Enlist their players and families to generate participants and use the camp as a program fund raiser. Others use the revenues to help supplement a well deserving but always under-payed coaching staff. Either are excellent choices.
